Im thinking of investing one of those sparyers for treating my fence panels, has anybody had any experience of them . Good or bad. Better still has anyone got one to sell/swap/ loan .

Don't bother, even the slightest breeze and you'll be spraying more than just your fence panels.

I could lend you a Cuprinol one that's only been used once - there might be a clue there. It hasn't been used by me, and so I have no direct experience. It strikes me that it could be OK if you have wooden posts, but concrete posts could complicate the issue with over-spray .

They are fantastic and neat enough to get very close to concrete posts without spraying. Touch up with a brush.
If you border a neighbour, throw an old sheet over and secure - it will mist through the gaps.
Disadvantages: Take a fair bit of washing out when done (fill with water and spray til the mist is clear).
Have to buy the thin paint stuff but sometimes it's cheap in an odd colour (£7 at B&Q last week for 5 lt.)
Always need more than you think first spray.
After that - apprx every two years - it is easier.

I bought the cuprinol one and it worked fine, much quicker, if you take the panels out and lay them on some polythene on the lawn they are done in no time, my dad however bought a cheaper version and it kept blocking up and soon ended up in the wheelie bin!
