It will always be Focus to me, but just seen 2 vacancies are currently being advertised in-store at Homebase. One was for a shelf filler, 4 until 11 on just a Monday night - student job maybe? And the other is for a Service Team member (iirc)- whatever that is. Not sure on all the hours but there did seem to be mulitple shifts the times of which were specified so not a zero hours contract :D Might interest a few people and I know @littleme mentioned wanting a non-zero hours contract job so this may be useful?

I'm more of a 9 - 5, Monday to Friday kind of girl - but thanks for thinking of me :) Husband works a weird shift patterns, anytime from 6am till Midnight (weird when you know where he works), & I don't want to go down that path ....

Hmmm & they are shutting a quarter of their existing stores...

....maybe staff at the Stafford store are jumping ship as they know something we don't...

Surely a job for someone who doesn't have one, even for a short amount of time, would be better than no job at all? I know that should I find myself in that situation I'd rather get a job, if only for a short period, and gain some experience and extra cash than stay unemployed. Where are all those benefit claimants who say they do want to work but there aren't any jobs???

I was told by someone 'in the know' that the Stafford store would only stay open until the lease is up. Don't know if that's still happening though...
Probably true, its what happened to other (cough) businesses in the area....

Like @kyoto49 said though, a job even in the short term is better than no job at all :)
