On the Hour was a top show - it followed the Six O'clock news and it was difficult to see the join sometimes..flossietoo said:Anyone share fond memories of Chris Morris in R4 On the Hour? I still get the urge, when a self-important reporter appears on the television, to intone "I'm full of news, milk me." Trouble is, nobody else has the faintest idea what I'm talking about.
Wonderful. I've just spent a very happy time working my way through those clips. "If you do give a dog for Christmas, how should you wrap it?"Gramaisc said:On the Hour was a top show - it followed the Six O'clock news and it was difficult to see the join sometimes..flossietoo said:Anyone share fond memories of Chris Morris in R4 On the Hour? There was a similar programme which was just snippets from fictious Sunday newspaper articles, but I can't find it. I thought it was called Sunday Supplement, but it would seem not. Any ideas?flossietoo said:Wonderful. I've just spent a very happy time working my way through those clips. I never heard the radio show, but asflossietoo said:Anyone share fond memories of Chris Morris in R4 On the Hour?
you would love it.dangerousdave said:if you haven't you should go watch the day today
Just as brilliant now. Loved the idea of John Major putting on a brave face - his Spitting Image puppet could convey emotion more effectively. Am still searching for whatever 'outrage' I fondly recall Chris Morris reporting "Just yards from where children, with their soft heads, were playing."Withnail said:
All that and he scored the opener for the Rangers yesterday - talented man.Ian F said:Big fan of Chris Morris me as well...The best radio that's ever been IMHO!
Here's some links of interest regarding the above...
