Asda yesterday.

Petrol - £1.12 per litre

Diesels £1.08 per litre.

I cannot remember last time diesel was cheaper! Be nice if it dips under the quid mark again....

Enjoying a drop of red.
The cost of a barrel of oil is falling slightly but the wholesale cost of a litre of diseasal has fallen below that of unleaded and is continuing its downward trend at the moment. Whether this is because the demand for diseasal has actually dropped or yet another political play by the U.S. And Saudi governments to punish Putin is a matter of debate.

Lots of wagons not using it whilst parked up in Kent and causing a glut ? I think diesel has always been cheaper to make, before tax.

The price of diesel and petrol can fluctuate depending on a number of varying factors:

  • Global Events – Wars, fuel shortages and security threats to oil supplies
  • World Markets – Supply & demand, taxes, cost of crude oil & inflation
  • New Technology – The increasing alternative fuel sources & new alternative fuel sources for vehicles

It's the price of crude oil that matters much more than the cost of it.

Never confuse the two, or you'll end up taking cows into Asda.

The cost of crude oil will be very little different to what it was at this time last year.

The price is what the free market/cartel arrangements dictate.

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
Demand is still rising

Supply is still rising

But prices will rise next year

And therefore so will food and everything

And I do recommend watching all 4 episodes of above
