Went to see Dire Streets last night, very disappointing. They knew the words, they knew the music but seemed to just be going through the motions.

As part of my front of house volunteering, I’ve just had a wonderful evening tonight at Stafford Gatehouse watching the very talented Miles Jupp. An almost full house.

If you like comedy then there’s lots to look forward to over the next few weeks.

Tom Stade 31st January, then going in to February, it’s “Comedy in The Met“ on the 9th (it’s a pick and mix of comedy, you don’t know what you are going to get), Harriet Dyer on the 10th, Josh Pugh on the 14th (tickets going fast for this)
and Dom Joly on the 21st.

Lots to look forward to on these winter evenings.

Despite it being in the diary, we've been double booked for a family event on 10th. I'm very unhappy 🤣

Ah that’s a shame but hopefully Harriet Dyer will be back a The Gatehouse soon.

I also won’t be seeing her.

I absolutely love my volunteering shifts at The Gatehouse but during February I mostly help out at The Leicester Comedy Festival.
It’s a busy month for me, dividing my time between Stafford and Leicester.

All good fun.

I shall be at The Gatehouse tomorrow evening, with the Daughter in law, of course.
We are going to see the Psychologist Emma Kenny. She will be presenting her show called Killer Cults. Been a long time coming, we booked the tickets way back in October.
Then, at the end of this month, we shall be going to the Met Studio to see the Real Manhunter, presented by the former Chief Inspector Colin Sutton.
I've never ever had such a social life!

I’m on volunteering duty for this but until we’ve had the pre show briefing, I don’t know whereabouts in the theatre my position will be.
It would be nice to say hello to you and put a face to the name.

Well, we thoroughly enjoyed Emma Kenny.
And we met @Carole ! Passed a few minutes with a pleasant chat. Had to explain to the daughter in law how she (Carole) came to be fondling Peter Andres chest.. All good.

It was an interesting talk by Emma Kenny and lovely to meet @Glam.
We nearly didn’t meet because I was on the Grand Staircase scanning tickets as people came in and Glam had arrived by another door but we saw each other just before the show started.

Which makes me wonder how @Carole knows them then, as I didn't think she was allowed in the Coach, due to their rigorous standards as to who they allow in.
