can you get me a replacement 1978, gold (although has faded to nickel) Grover PMMH - 025 (the PMMH - 015 is the nickel one so would probably be better in actual fact)? Looked everywhere and can only find full sets. the full sets retail at about 55 quid but i'd freely pay that for one og '78 part.

cheers, b.

The gauntlet has been thrown down! If GDWGuitars can fulfil this request, then I'm sure we can all forgive them for their filthy spam-post, and they will forever earn a place in our hearts.

If, however, we never hear from them again, then we know that they are good-for-nothing spammers who should be avoided at all costs. ;)

Hi Benny Upsetter,

Sorry for my lateness in reply, I am new to this whole forum thing ( I assumed all enquiries would be forwarded to my e-mail inbox).

Unfortunately I am unable to purchase single machine heads and I only get a trade discount on hardware such as pickups, strings and hardcases.

May I ask what is wrong with your current machine head? I may be able to repair it.

Again, apologies for my late reply,

Best regards,

Graham Wright.

Hi,

No chance of repairing that then!
As I stated in my earlier post without buying bulk stock I cannot get a discount on machine heads and suchlike, therefore I can only purchase a full set for the same cost as you.
(Roughly £50).

You could save yourself £30 and buy a set of Wilkinson Rotomatic tuners. In my opinion exactly the same quality, I use them on some of my custom guitars and also my own personal guitar.

Wilkinson Rotomatic tuners £20 (chrome, gold or black 14/1 Ratio) I believe they are a drop in replacement. ( I will check for you ).

If you would like me to carry the work out for you I would charge £65 for replacing the tuners and giving the guitar a setup. Inc the cost of the hardware and new strings.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Best regards,

Graham.
