There's nothing else is there. Not a chance Labour can get in with Corbyn. I think I'll probably be voting Lib Dem.

Was not expecting that, makes sense though looking at the polling data.

You would expect May to pick up pro brexit voters and traditional Conservatives, Lib Dems have not increased their polling results in last nine months despite their position as pro EU party. I can see many pro EU Labour voters not voting.

So

1. Why is this happening? (The next election was due in 2020 *check me out watching the news!* so why have it early?)
2. The stats seem to be saying people will vote conservative - so why are they bothering if they think they will win anyway?
3. Will the lady with the bad haircut still be in charge?
4. What has that Corbyn man said? Is he saying he won't run? Why not? Isn't that like what it's all about?
5. Will this effect Brexit?

Okay I think I'm done on questions for now...

Thank you!

Its now because that makes sure she gets a further 5 years in power, and they are far ahead in the polls. It also means if by any chance she loses she can walk away from brexit completely and it'll all be someone else's fault!

I know everyone says Corbyn is unelectable but I'm most likely voting labour, I can't imagine a situation where I'd vote Tory and the yella fellas proved their integrity last time round.

The government are having to conform to Cameron's and Osborne's manifesto from before the last election, which was written with the view that we'd be staying in the EU. Also, as became apparent after the last budget, that manifesto is hamstringing the chancellor, most obviously when it came to NICs for the self employed.

Theresa May obviously wants to do things her way.

And of course it comes at a time when the Labour party is struggling, as are UKIP.

1 To get a political mandate which May has been accused of not having, It will likley provide a much bigger majority of Tory MP's and stop trouble from back bench rebellions.
2 Bigger majority.
3 Yes
4 Corbyn has agreed to an election
5 Depends on the election result and new balance of power.

What's the farking point in having a fixed term parliament act , designed to prevent politically opportunistic snap elections, if it can be overruled on a whim on the assumption the opposition would never be able to object ?

Nobody even wanted the farking fixed term act in the first place.

What a waste of ink.

It suited them at the time, it doesn't suit them now, what we think is irrelevant.

This is the problem isn't it, there is no credible alternative to the Conservatives who at least manage to 'appear' to be capable, even if the reality is living hell for many of the most needy in our society.

Hell would freeze over before i'd vote for this utter shower of sh*te, so I'm left with no credible party to choose :(.

Choose an incredible party instead then :xd:

Enjoying a drop of red.
Great! Yet more electioneering and lies to see on TV Every-Single-Day.

Whilst collective eyes are taken off the rather important ball of Brexit.

Bollocks.

Whats weird is that I see a lot of support for Corbyn by actual people, despite having an anti Corbyn headline thrust down my throat almost daily. Even the anti Corbyn but traditional Labour voters rarely seem to get past soundbites like 'Protest politics' or 'Terrorist sympathiser' to explain what is so bad about him. Yet despite 2 leadership contests in the bag he is still allegedly unelectable, when in my eyes compared to another 5 years of Tory rule (especially during brexit law changes) he seems the right choice.

He is the Labour leader, he won the vote, give him a chance. If he loses he'll resign, we'll be stuck with May and I'll look at emigration.

My gut feeling is that he's a lovely man with some very very thoughtful and caring policies but I'm not sure some of his ideas would stand the test of being government policy. Everything in this country is based on profit and money, so greedy capitalists will always vote for what is best for them to make money from. Corbyn's form of socialism seems rather idealistic, however much I'd love to see a return to a time when people cared about society in general even if it means a little less in their pockets, I just can;t see it happening :(

Oh boy, I can't wait for our constituency to yet again vote in favour of the party that will systematically dismantle the department behind the thing they complain doesn't get enough support - Stafford Hospital.
