same as usual! Well, it highlights controls as you select them, so this ere text box has a yellow kinda glow to it. Other than that its business as normal!

what, you feel like you're stuck in 1999? :teef:

i'm kidding, i'm kidding - i'm sure this place uses cutting edge web 2.0 technology to create an authentic "retro" look :v:

Just viewing this page on it myself now.... I think its nice. Cuts all the crap from around the edges of the screen so you see much more of the pages. I'm impressed.

Update - Google amends Chrome EULA

(Updated 4 Sep '08 0830 GMT) Google has amended section 11.1 of the Chrome EULA so that it now reads:

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights that you already hold in Content that you submit, post or display on or through the Services.

There are now no other sub-sections in section 11. What you see is what you get. Terrific. Google acted with alacrity. Great stuff. No worries.

just tried to logmein to my home machine.. gave me a warning about active-x and java not being enabled, so it tried to give me control based on "snapshots" of my home machine (i.e. static screen grabs).. suffice to say, it was useless..

is this just cos it's a beta, does anyone know, or will the final browser not support active-x and/or java??

i'm loving this shiz, yo! it's well quick.. gmail in particular, and even ebay! ebay has been practically useless since they "overhauled" it, but chrome chucks it around with no bother..

microsoft's IE team must be cacking themselves..

although facebook doesn't seem to work properly.. most things seem fine, but stuff like clicking "Read more..." on long wall posts, and other "Click here to expand..." links don't work.. is that something to do with AJAX? does chrome not fully support it?

No Java - No RSS feeds in bookmarks , doesn't remember proxy passwords, - back to FF for me (I was missing my Foxmarks as well)

Very fast browser though, the RC would be worth a look but I just see this taking market share away from FF/Opera not M$

so far, i haven't come against anything that has made me want to switch back to firefox.. not storing https exceptions is a bit of a ballache (you can do it, but it's a right palaver) but it's not the end of the world..

i hear what you're saying, and for any other vendor i'd agree, but i think google is the only company with a big enough brand to actually harm microsoft in this area..
