Got Ginny's 6 month test results today. An antibody level reduction from 105.9 to 85. I was expecting a higher fall but I'm told that it won't ever fall to a very low level. The vet is happy with the outcome as she's not showing signs and her other tests were good. More treatment will only be needed if the levels go up again.

Not posted an update here in a long time. Bad news, Ginny's leishmania is back at a level even higher than when she was first diagnosed, she spent a morning at the vets last week for tests, has high blood pressure too but no other conditions. Another round of treatment is required.

Just finished Ginny's latest round of treatment. She's back to her usual energetic moany self :D

She also had a cracked nail which had to be cut back, so that was stopping her wanting to go for walks. All better now.

Sorry about that :)

She's unfortunately had some fur loss, a symptom of the leishmaniasis.

Not posted in a while. Ginny relapsed again. This time she's having the course of injections of glucantime she had in 2023 which worked the best for her. 5 injections done out of 28 and I'm already seeing improvements. She's got some skin problems again, an ear wound which doesn't seem to want to heal and some bad skin above one of her back legs. All symptoms of her condition.

Started up a facebook group for the Cannock Chase walk I do with her and others. We've now expanded the walks to include a Stafford town centre walk, the first of which was last sunday (I couldn't attend as Ginny was off her food and had lost some blood due to her ear). If you go on Facebook and search for "Stafford and Cannock Chase Greyhound Walks" you'll find the page.

Sorry to hear she's having problems again 😢 but pleased she's responding to the injections and improving.

She's been tested for so many things and it's all been negative. So why the leish keeps coming back I dunno. She's been a lot calmer with the injections this time, which is a good thing.
