Hiya guys. I'm Trapnest. (Well not really of course but you know :3 )
I'm often getting told off by my fella for wanting to buy too much in Superdrug/Boots (High street cosmetics junkie) and can sometimes be found sitting on the floor by frozen stuff in Tesco getting weird looks. (If you couldn't tell by the make up thing, I'm a girl)

I moved here (Stafford ofc) 7 months ago, technically, I'm moving again elsewhere soon. Hurrah.. the joy of moving eh... For numerous reasons.

I've yet to meet people here though or anything. I've been here over 6 months and yet I am still very much a hermit! I have health issues and stuff I don't get out and about really, somewhere to meet people (friends, I have a partner) would be great if anyone has any suggestions that are disabled-friendly. (I'm not in a wheel chair but I do have a cane, I'm only 20, some of the pensioners give me dirty looks, I think they're jealous of my flowery stick!) Also, trainers friendly, I know some places are iffy about you wearing trainers (it's mainly clubs though isn't it?) and I have to wear them (hurrah!)

Yeah... I'm not very good at this being social thing, I try though. *awkward fidget*

Hi welcome to the forum :) I've lived here 2.5 years now and sadly, not through lack of trying, have yet to make any real life friends :(. They are a great bunch here though and the closest thing to friends i have at the mo.
Get stuck in :)

Welcome aboard trapnest!

There are some nice friendly folk on here. There are also some wind-up merchants, freaks, idiots etc... who are also friendly people :D (I know, I'm one of them!)

A jolly good place to go if you are not averse to going to the pub is Joxer Brady's. Keep an eye on the 'Out & About' section for things going on.

They have regular comedy nights (like here for example), and music of a Saturday. A very good pub with a very good atmosphere - there is a step going up if you go that way, but no step if you go the other way (unless i am much mistaken), so is navigable.

Probably the best pub in Stafford by my reckoning.

Hi and welcome Trapnest, If you need any fatherly advice, don't hesitate to ask
some one else, mine is rubbish and liable to get you into trouble, mind you it's
fun being a lecherous pensioner.

Thanks everyone!

Aww Gadget *waves* What's wrong with you? :p I fail at making friends if I'm honest. Oops.

Miss Red, I know someone who goes by that name in the beauty world but isn't in Staffs though... Haha, well in Boots, I stay away from that clarins counter as soon as you walk in, I avoid counters like the plague! You can blame Lush stores and counter horror stories for that...

age'd parent.. are you the type who will give me a mean look and tut at me or mumble if I don't let you on the bus first? :p (That's a point, I've yet to work out the busses, in brum they're way simpler! haha)

Not averse to pubs at all. I've visited The Picture House a few times (the one actually in Stafford, apparently there is another in Stone? So the taxi rank said anywhoos) and I quite like it there but I'm partial to whetherspoons. Definitley up for a comedy night so I will check that oot! Withnail where abouts is that pub located? Will I find it on google maps? I have terrible sense of direction!

I know I'm young but I'm not the go out clubbing, get drunk and make a tit out of myself. Usually get along better with pensioners anyway :p Just social and friendly is good with me. I don't really drink particlarly but still like a good pub with some good grub!

Nothing wrong with me lol I just live in a very dodgy area with standoffish, unfriendly and sometimes dangerous neighbours lol.
You'll find Joxers if you walk out of the square with the town hall on your left and the angling gun shop on your right. It's just around the corner at the back there. I thoroughly agree with you about the buses lol they are cheaper too lol.
Give me a shout if you ever need a drinking partner at any time :) That goes for anyone by the way lol coffee, beer, cider, hotchocolate or even a water lol i'm not fussy :D

The crazy one who likes rats :p - I've been in to the grapes once but just sorta a nosey look really after hearing Katy Perry songs from outside when I went to the cinema. I've not heard of the other place. (ps, I also like rats, although I like mice too. Though rats only in the sense of of actual peoples pets, not dirty germy rummage through your rubbish rats)

Gadget - I honestly don't have a clue where most of those are.. Lol! Errr... I have no sense of direction to boot. Umm. Talk Tesco, ASDA, Victoria Park, Guildhall and the borough (and I guess now the new county) council offices and then I know where I am... I know theres a pub on the corner SOMEWHERE that recently re-opened or something within the last few months though for the life of me I cannae recall the name!

Gadget - Haha, Oh gosh, I've been like that with my upstairs neighbours on and off. It was quiet and the people above us before had a baby and the floorboards were squeakier and they were still quieter than mister stompy upstairs! Haha sure. Always welcome to drop me a PM too. I'm all shy and can seem unsociable though. The only thing I drink there is water... I know right! D:

Red - Haha. Most definitely. :p Small world eh.

Ahh stop trying to turn me in to a boozer. :p Railway Inn is a little too far away from me I reckon. Especially after I move. Unsure though, internet is being too poo to look but thanks for suggestion!

I'm really bad at just.. diving in, so to speak. I'll just sit there and people watch, I don't mean to but apparently I don't appear very approachable.

Where Gadget said it is - when i said 'best pub in Stafford' i sort of meant 'of the town centre pubs'. Nearly added it as a caveat as there are more vying for the title.

Also, if there are any more postings for Art-Hole gigs, a la this for example, then go to them - guaranteed good times.

Talking of which, anything in the pipeline Obi-Wan?

Town center is more my best bet for going anywhere really if I'm honest. It's either walking or taxi to go anywhere and as I'm leg disabled (acid) (IT Crowd reference) it's a pain in the butt. Mister is getting his provisional shortly but oh the joys of being skint. Paying the rent is a fun challenge to play every month! :p We all know how it is. But obviously affording lessons properly is a wee much. I've not seen much of the world and he wants to show it to me bless him <3 /smitten

Thanks for that!

Hi Trapnest and welcome to the forum :)

As previously mentioned, get yerself into Joxer Bradys ......... go in the bar area and you will soon be chatting to the staff and other customers.

Standing with your back to Boots in market square, walk about 50 yards straight ahead(or is it metres these days?) and Joxers is around that corner to the right hand side.
