Has anyone got The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on Wii?

Err, sign up to quidco or topcashback or whoever, use their link when buying stuff. They get a kickback, keep it for a month to get their interest then give it to you. At least thats what TCB seem to do. My GF just got £22 back into her paypal account, just from ebay purchases.

never used these kinds of services before so i'm not entirely sure how it works.. do my choices just sit on my rental list and they will come to me as and when they are available? there doesn't seem to be a "confirm choice" or "send me this now" option - i can just add titles to my rental list..

AIUI, you create a queue of stuff you want to rent, and they send the first few. When you finish with one you send it back in the supplied prepaid envelope and they send the next in the queue. Depending on how much you pay, you can have multiple things at once.
How do they keep a check on piracy? Don't ask me... :)

Why would they care, very few people would rent the same thing twice anyway so they may as well be the ones that supply it to copy.

if you read a few posts up you'll see we've already sussed that - with a 90-day free trial!

i got an email yesterday saying my first title is on its way.. unfortunately, it's not zelda lol.. still, at least i get to play metroid prime 3 this week :)

well, installed the twilight hack over the weekend.. does exactly what it says on the tin - dead easy, no messing about.. played Beneath A Steel Sky via ScummVM for a while - what a joy seeing it on the big screen, and using the wii remote!

couldn't install any virtual console games, though.. turns out i updated my wii one too many times prior to softmodding it (i'm on 3.3E), so i need to install a further hack to allow me to install cracked VC games.. i haven't decided whether i'll bother with this yet or not.. i don't want to go messing with it too much, and risk bricking it, especially when there are so many good homebrew emulators available which sort of defeats the object of the virtual console!

what's this lovefilm glitch you speak of, odb?

Basically there system is pants...so say you live at No 1 Station Road, then renew as No 1A Station Road (obvo wont work if your in flats and relies on a letter afterwards). System doesnt pick it up like it should and just allows it

Its quite a con and a few peeps on HUKD are doing it. One has had a free 3 month trial for over a year now

well, i live with my sister, and she signed up for a free trial a while ago, so i doubt it even checks the address during sign-up as if it did surely this would have been flagged? i'll just use different permutations of my name every time to keep getting free trials then.. nice! :D

Dirty Bobby, did you ever get your copy of Zelda from LoveFilm mate?

Did you install the homebrew channel?

Just done it myself and wondered what you thought.
all installed, very quick and painless.. i can't install VC games, because i foolishly updated my wii - this can easily be remedied by downgrading via an IOS installer, but the homebrew emulators work so well i don't think i'll bother!

what's your experience?

Yep, easy as pie mate - had a great tutorial to follow though. Well worth the effort.

Related note: Misses got Wii fit at the weekend and loves the thing.

yeah, we're defo getting one when we move into the new house.. our current gaff is carpeted, which i would imagine isn't as effective as wooden flooring (as per the new house) for the wii board..

When are you going to grace my street with your presence?

You'll know my place when you see the idiot standing on one leg on a Wii Fit board through the window.
