Enjoying a drop of red.
The old cages, as they used to be were better, yes but had become a very sorry sight. In that respect the new cages are immeasurable better.Am I on my own when I say I prefer the old bird "cages"?

No.Am I on my own when I say I much prefer no bird cages at all and would rather watch and encourage the wild birds
No, and that's exactly what I suggested in my submission to the redevelopment consultation.Am I on my own when I say I much prefer no bird cages at all and would rather watch and encourage the wild birds
NO! That is four of us.Am I on my own when I say I much prefer no bird cages at all and would rather watch and encourage the wild birds
I like them, they're pretty.
If they're happy they'll keep breeding, so if they keep breeding they must be happy.
I doubt they've much of a mind to mind it much.
And while very young birds learn to fly which is something we can't do at any age except with a powered machine. You'd be surprised, birds have a lot of personality and intelligence. I care for an 11 year old budgie who has a moult disease and can't fly, he requires a certain level of creative stimulation or he gets bored and will let you know about it.
Budgies also understand grammatical patterns in speech to the level of about a 7-month old human, if I recall correctly. They're remarkable things.
You should report it to Street Scene.Nothing to do with the park but that walk alongside the river from Asda towards M&S is dire.
The river can barely be seen with the growth, litter strewn everywhere & then the narrow dark section under the road that is covered in bird droppings as that is the local pidgeon avery.
If that is here ..............https://apps2.staffordshire.gov.uk/web/reportfault/#divSelectionHeaderYou should report it to Street Scene.
