Help - how do I upload an image

I once uploaded a picture via TinyPic but was so fantastically drunk when i did it that i didn't know i had done so until i received an e-mail giving me the various codes to do anything with it. If nothing else this suggests it is quite an easy thing to do.
I have vague recollections of trying to do the same via the Stafford Forum Imagebank but failing to do so - which suggests that either a) i wasn't quite drunk enough b) was perhaps too drunk or c) it is a more complicated process.
My money is on a) but can anybody explain the difference? For example, if you upload an image to the forum image bank could you then link that elsewhere? Is it worth giving people a 'run through' that they could read before attempting to upload so they know what to expect? Has this already been dealt with in a previous thread?

Likewise, on the odd occasion that I've uploaded a picture, I used tinypic. I registered for the Forum image host but had problems with it so gave up.
I believe that there are instructions somewhere - every time someone asks how to upload a photo they get linked to, so maybe worth a search.
Otherwise, just use tinypic - dead easy!

Just start a post/reply in the normal way, then click the Stafford Forum Image bank logo that is in the Useful Links box on the left-hand side of your screen:
A new window will open. Register there with a username and password, then follow the instructions for uploading a picture.
I would recommend that you do use the same username as you have here, but don't use the same password as it is not stored securely as it is just a simple image host (very kindly provided by Forumite Toble).
You only have to do the above steps the very first time you use it. From then on, you can just click the Stafford Forum Image bank logo and log-in with the username and password that you provided, above.
Once you have uploaded the picture, that site will automatically show you the text that you need to make the picture appear in the Forum thread. Just select it, copy it, then paste it in here! It will look something like this:
