yeah, what's all this gayness about there only being one episode on BBC2?? i assumed they were going to show the same 2-part opener as they did in the states!

but yeah, it's off to a good start, innit? and that new "speedster" (daphne, is it?) is well fit :hubbahubba:

Doh, didn't realise they showed the next ep on bbc3.

Spoiler warning!!!

Although I have to say I was not as impressed with it as the previous two series. Several plot devices seemed to be forced in. I didn't really get how Monhinder suddenly found a way to give people powers (years of research by his father and himself, and then he cracks it in 2 minutes, hmm), the explanation seemed to be sloppy techno-babble. Granted I'm not a geneticist, but I'm not stupid either and it just did not make sense.

The other dodgy bit IMO, was Hiro and the safe. OK it was ammusing, but if I had half of a formula that could destroy the world, I wouldn't keep it in a safe, I would destroy it!

I'd go back in time 10 mins, and slap the biatch before she got through the door!

Either that, or friction burns :strange:

well kiss my grits, i just watched episode 4 and this season is definitely shaping up well!

i can understand a lot of the criticisms that are being levelled at it (the main one being that they can present us with a really dramatic turn of events, then just undo it all by employing using the time travel card) but if you just want to be entertained for 45 minutes of cool shit then this is definitely the cream of the crop, imo..

also: maya

I'm catching up on Season 2 at the moment, but completely hooked. The production values are really good too. Was this shot in HD, if so I might have to source it in HD (throught completely legitimate means, of course) just for all the SFX and explosions :D

It seems to be on the online iPlayer here. I haven't actually tested it, cos I'm at work. Give it a whirl.

Just watched part five, seems to be becoming a bit cliched and stale, hope it picks up soon as the first two series were great. Didn't the scriptwriters strike only effect series 2???

heroes has completely lost the plot, imo.. all the time travel and swapping of powers malarky means there's no credible threat anymore, so they just have to keep coming up with wilder and wilder story arcs that are just getting out of control now.. oh, you're dead? don't worry, we'll just inject you with claire's blood and you'll be fine.. claire's not around? well, i'm sure hiro will travel back in time and sort that shit out for you, don't fret..

the funny thing is, people would criticise the makers of Lost for just making it up as they go along, then Heroes came along and it was beautifully crafted, with every little thing happening for a reason and every seemingly minor detail contributing to the plot.. now they've totally switched sides - Lost is starting to give some real answers, and you can see how stuff that was set up in season 1 was relevant to events happening now, whereas Heroes just feels like the producers are winging it :(

i can't even be arsed to download it anymore, i just watch it on bbc 2..

I really don't like the direction Heroes is going in. It's a shame, as the first season was ace. The only good thing about recent episodes: Sylar's scary again. For a while during season two, it looked like they were turning him into one of the good guys. I'm all for shades of grey (makes characters like Mr. Bennett all the more interesting), but Sylar should be 100% bad!
