So in the end we couldn't go on holiday on Monday. Results from the wife's recent scans showed that cancer has spread to her spine and brainBooked !! #FeckingHoseasons
In the end we donated the booking to a lady with a terminal diagnosis who needed to have emergency surgery whilst in Turkey. She now faces a £50k bill after her travel insurance provider refuses to payout on her claim....

Well we did the Italy trip and Back packed thru 7 cities in 17 days.
Rome is amazing huge so hope to go back Not very impressed with Naples. Pretty grim where we stayed. Florence is a defo return as we couldn't get to the museums i didn't realise it was booked so far in advance.
I got the usual blisters as walked miles. Trains especially easy to use...

Does anyone know what time Birmingham Airport security / Passport control opens in the mornings please?
(Sons flight is 4.45am , no baggage to check in , but wants to get there in plenty of time to get through security and incase we hit motorway diversions)

Cheers , so couple of hours before earliest flight then.
They're off to Sweden. Wouldn't mind a few days there myself ! I've never been , but hubby has been with his work.
