The Humble Indie Bundle is a unique kind of bundle that we are trying out.

Pay what you want. If you bought these five games separately, it would cost around $80 but we're letting you set the price!

All of the games work great on Mac, Windows, and Linux. We didn't want to leave anyone out.

There is no middle-man. You can rest assured that 100% of your purchase goes directly to the developers and non-profits as you specify (minus credit card fees).

We don't use DRM. When you buy these games, they are yours. Feel free to play them without an internet connection, back them up, and install them on all of your Macs and PCs freely.

I moan a lot about DRM, copyright, the digital economy etc. etc. this is a business model I would love to see succeeded for the developers (worked for Radiohead).
I have heard very good things about World of Goo, don't know about the the games though.

Ordered this last night for my GFs son, WOG is great. Not as easy on a moving train using a touchpad admittedly! Apparently Gish is rather good too.

I've brought it as well - but I have so many games to play over the summer - having splurged on the Rockstar bundle on steam the other day along with everything else I haven't downloaded yet

Also just added Samorost 2 to the bundle, and it appears you can DL it regardless of when you purchased.

The Humble Indie Bundle experiment has been a massive success beyond our craziest expectations. So far, 134,952 generous contributors have put down an incredible $1,238,138. Of this, contributors chose to allocate 30.88% to charity: $382,302 for the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Child's Play Charity.
Seems to have worked reasonably well, I can't imagine the production costs of those games were that high.

I just don't get why the music and film industry don't look at things like this, and Steam, and think about adopting the model for themselves. I use Steam because it's a great content delivery system, they have demos, and I can use my games library on any machine. It would be wonderful if I could do the same with my music or film libraries, but oh no, that would be make me a criminal.

Also, World of Goo and Aquaria are great. Gish is so-so, but totally worth getting this bundle overall. Not played the others.

They've released another one, same deal: http://www.humblebundle.com/?

Braid
Cortex Command
Machinarium
Osmos
Revenge of the Titans

Also don't forget Steam are knocking out indie bundles for £4 a time as well.

Just to add that if you pay above the current recommended price they also throw in the first bundle for you. They also have a limited number of steam keys available, I just gave them $8 and it gave me codes to activate them on steam. They are now tied to my account admittedly, but you are still allowed to download DRM free copies from their website as usual.

New bundle out tonight, I make it about half 5? Only 3 games this time, one a sequal to another, but then also two 'extras':

Teaming up with developers Frozenbyte, anyone purchasing the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle will get a copy of 2D platformer Trine, Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds: Survivor. They'll also get access to two Frozenbyte "projects", one of them being the source code to an unfinished game called Jack Claw, the other a preorder for an upcoming Froeznbyte game called Splot.
I already own Trine, but think I'll get this anyway. I like to support people who aren't EA!
