I always think in these situations that if the money was there to be made, Punch would keep it. I'd also want a guarantee they wouldn't increase rent if you do well, as many companies do.

What about rates?

And don't get dropped - disgraceful.
At the end of the day, he is paid to play football and it is his private life. Whilst I do not condone this kind of irreponsible behaviour, people have to learn how to be decent human beings somehow (you can't know one without knowing the other) and if he has any sense there shouldn't be any more incidents - he either needs to learn how to handle his drink or simply not drink. This is, of course, presuming that (as it doesn't say either way) there's no previous.

If everyone got sacked or demoted every time they did something "wrong" then my guess is that there would probably be very few people still working! People should be allowed to make mistakes (which are only really mistakes if you refuse to learn from them!) and, more importantly, have a private life. A prime example of this kind of human rights abuse is Max Mosley.

I used to believe that if you don't do anything wrong then you have nothing to worry about, but if that's the case then why do people have curtains in their front room?

The best bit about that article is where the Chairman of Stafford Rangers says

"All I can say is he’s a very good sportsman."

No John, if he was a very good sportsman he wouldn't be playing for the Rangers, as it is, he's an "above average sportsman".

And I know what you are saying Lunar Scorpian, but its not a Max Mosley case, last time I checked it was legal to have "relations" with prostitutes in your own home. That example aside, there are unwritten lines and a "violent attack" is well over the line.

A criminal reccord for not paying your council tax or being .001% over the drink drive limit even is a mistake. Kicking someones head in isn't. If I do something that gets my company such bad publicity then i'd be out on my ear... but its one rule for some......

This is a joke. 5 years. What has this country come to.

"Everything I have read about you causes me great concern. You represent a serious and ongoing risk to children."

Obviously not.

Doesn't look like they have much say in the matter any more.

Well done to the courts for once.

Its a shame that they had to take action before the club bothered. Shameful!

WTF? I'm pretty sure if i beat someone up and got time for it my employer would be a little less sympathetic.

Edit: Personally I think the courts should have given him 10 years, maybe he'll think twice in future before fighting when pissed?

Is this a real quote? Where is it from? If this is a true statement I will be very disappointed, to say the least.
