Police have stopped motorists using the bridge. Also there appeared to be an incident outside the Polish club.

Virgin Trains have been reporting a trespass incident just outside the station - guessing that's something to do with the bridge closure?

They are now saying that trains are running again

It was a young woman on the bridge threatening to jump on to the tracks - I had just come out of Tesco's as the Police closed the road. At one stage she stood up and looked very close to it, but thankfully the Police managed to talk her down after 30 minutes or so. All the trains were halted. Whatever her reasons, a good result.

And I didn't see anyone filming with mobile phones,so good for Stafford.

The only down point was a nutter in a black chav-type Corsa who jumped out of his car when he saw the police cars blocking the bridge and hurled abuse at the officers as he wanted to drive over the bridge. Really really wish they had nicked him.

Very happy to hear that they managed to bring her down safely, definitely a good result

Perhaps as well it was Stafford and not Telford

I was in the Station at the time and was sorry to see people standing on the platforms staring and taking pictures on their phones. Sad to see people being so callous.
