I think because its not to stop the kids, its more about stopping cars turning right into & out of the school. Something they probably should have thought about before they built the school. just like they should have thought about how the kids cross Beaconside to get to the school, after all the school was built there mainly to cater for the kids from the new Army housing estate. .Typical Stafford Planning arseholes again.

In their infinite wisdom, the water people have decided to put some roadworks on the Tixall Road. That road which people are using due to the closing of the Weston Road.

Someone needs to get the sack for this.
