Who's Colin Grigson? Where's jamesb? Are they one and the same? I was going to skill jamesb up for sampling so many pubs in Stafford in such a short space of time and it was like they'd never even been here.

Indeed they are! My voices tell me I'm not schizophrenic or anything, but felt I wanted a pseudonym that reflected my humour & taste rather than a boring name derived from RL.

I was going to skill jamesb up for sampling so many pubs in Stafford in such a short space of time and it was like they'd never even been here.

12th day now, spent about 3 or 4 nights in and the liver and wallet is showing it! Off to the Litten Tree (cheap beer, crap music night), then off to The Grapes for Karaoke and will try and fit in another new one before I start, either the Bear or The Swan, methinks. Trying to check out a different one every night I go out, if only for a swift one.

Until the 1st of June the most I'd seen of Stafford was the Railway Station and my depot for an interview (seriously!). Now I can walk into a couple of pubs and say hello to 3 or 4 people, much of it thanks to this forum.

bloody hell, even i cant do that.

well, i can...i dont necessarily know the people and i usually get thrown out and barred after trying to spark up a conversation with the 3rd one!
