We know there is talk of a Stafford hotel doing this, it's been in the papers but not named it just says that it recently stopped taking bookings.

Plenty of hotels are cashing in on this. The Holiday Inn & Roman Way hotels in Cannock have both been block booked for months housing asylum seekers. I went to a training course at the Holiday Inn back in January & wandered into the hotel by mistake (instead of the conference suite next door). You can tell it is controversial as they had a large number of security guards who were very keen to escort me to where I needed to be as quick as possible.

There is/was a hotel very close to Manchester Airport which has been taken over for the sole purpose of housing illegal immigrants/ asylum seekers. Anyhows, he was one of several medicalpeople employed to look after these people. The place was like Fort Knox. Staff were not allowed to leave their quarters while there unless accompanied by security guards, he swears blind they were all armed and felt like he was in more danger from security than the illegals.
He had to deal with a problem one night, two of these guards accompanied him to where the patient was, (one in front, other at the back) stood in the room while he assessed the situation and gave the appropriate treatment, then escorted him back to his quarters.
The money was astonishing, more than I earn a month just for a week. But he got fed up of all the security and being away from home, so he packed it in.

The whole thing can be intimidating to be honest. It seems to be mostly young guys that want to seek asylum, the women, children & older folks where they are from must love it & don't want to come because I didn't see any of them at the Holiday Inn Ha Ha!.

Perspective from people I've talked to is that sending the women or kids is just handing them to abusers, the sort of people willing to charge you 4k to die in a dinghy aren't averse to selling the women into prostitution and the kids won't make it alone. The men go first to raise money and make it easier for their wives and kids to follow. If I was in their place I'd not risk Eric with traffickers, it would be my job.
