Has anybody delivered within Stafford for any of these food delivery companies? Thinking of maybe doing it next year with my bike but wondering if there’s enough work to go around in these parts?

Never mind Whoosh

Start your own

Pregnancy tests
Durex
Duracell batteries
Vaseline
Old red phone boxes
Sheep
Spatulas
Table tennis bats
Squirty cream

Probably best focus on the areas between Ingestre and Sandon

And carry a body camera

You never can tell

There are special skill sets required for food delivery operatives. For instance, how are you at weaving an electric powered bike at 25 mph down a narrow pavement crowded with pedestrians ?

Just watched a report on the news about a Deliveroo rider who was killed in a road accident.

He was under 18, not on a contract, uninsured and allowed to work because contracted Deliveroo operatives can name a substitute and it is up to the operative to check if the substitute's credentials are in order.

Apparently other delivery organisations have similar policies too.

Seems wrong that Deliveroo and others take no care or responsibility for people "working" for them.

Int just Deliveroo. Uber Eats sends different people from those named on the site. You expect a male and a female turns up, or just a different male knocks the door.

We've had a few dodgy times with Uber Eats tho, one woman, named Caroline, cancelled our order completely. Had to go and pick that one up myself and re-order. Because you can track them on screen, we've had orders go up Beaconside and park up.
Majority of drivers work for Just Eat, Deliveroo, Uber Eats, they're not just for one company. So while delivery status says your food is on the way, he/she or It has also picked up for someone the opposite end of town.

Uber Eats (& one other company, can't remember which one) will be delivering from Sainsbury's Stafford soon.
