Really must go in again, but very skint :(

Was the meal for 12 quid offer still on? So what did you have? Lost my takeaway menu, must go get another.

King Prawn Dhansak. They called them king prawns but they were more like Godzilla Prawns. Absolutely huuuuge and tasty to boot. Wife had some sort of lamb and chicken rice mix which was nice although she did say she would still rather have the Murgh Mossolini from Spice Island.

They gave the mother in law a huge bottle of fizz. We went there for her birthday although we hadn't told Karma II that, the waiter figured something was afoot and ensured a bottle was available.

Good skills all round.

Nom ******* nom! REALLY enjoyed tonight, my parents/bro were also seriously impressed. Couldn't fault them on food or service, only minor downside was we were the only people in there. Not that it bothered us at all, I'd just like to see the place busier. We used the Taste cards which got us 2 of the mains for free, cost £65 for 4 of us to eat poppadums/starters/main/rice and a nan to share with 2 drinks each. I chucked them an extra fiver tip, feel I should have given them more really.

Anyone hesitating please visit this restaurant, I'd hate to see it go out of business. I know it looks dead which puts you off, but the food really is top notch.

It was pretty full when we went the other week, saturday night at 7.30! Got to say, my friend likes her curry HOT HOT HOT and she found it a bit mild, so they brought her some extra chillis. I enjoyed my meal though!

I told some friends who were on the search for curry after the Swan to go and try. They got as far as Mill Street and took a right back to Malabar citing some sort of fish curry as a draw and that Karma was too far to walk for the risk

Too far?!?!? Karma do a few fish curries I noticed, can certainly remember salmon, trout and monkfish on the menu.

Glad to hear it was busy on Saturday, out of interest what did your friend have? I also like mine hot but went for a medium instead as it sounded nice. My mum had the orange bomb, which is a kind of orange flavoured korma. Sounds odd as hell but it worked!

She did a strange one and asked for a Biryani, but Madras hot. I guess it was a difficult request, but he did check with her that she was used to eating spicy food before he left the table so he obviously had high hopes for it. Overall the meal was enjoyable and pretty decent price: £20 each including drinks and starters.

Do Karma II deliver? Golidilox is sure they do, but I can't find mention of it here / they don't appear to have a website..

Edit: Never mind found the answer on the helpfully named 'Curry take away that deliver'

I was also amused this thread is the 1st search result for karma II Stafford on google!

Arrived in Stafford after 9 last night so the only option for a meal was Indian. So we tried Karma. I must say it was excellent and by far the best I've had in Stafford. I know Indian meals can often be a personal choice but I will certainly be going back.

I dropped in last night to book a table for the moose's birthday, and mentioned the taste card. I didn't realise that they get absolutely nothing back, its just free advertising. Its not even good free advertising really, as its only to people with the card. That means if people actually pay £70 for a taste card, the company are raking it in!

Now I think about it I suppose it'd be too hard to track when it was used etc. so it makes sense, but thats quite a hit when it can't bring in that much more trade? Makes you almost feel guilty using it, doesn't bother me with big chains but I'd rather the independant places made some money.

This was actually one of the reasons I haven't got one - It's not like Karma II is expensive anyway and it's independent so I'd rather support it fully.

I do use my Stafford card a lot, but since it only ever gets me about 10% off of places it doesn't seem quite so harmful (and I actively shop in places that support it)
