Kingsmead Boardwalk.

I can't understand that there could possibly be a motive, destroying a public area has no benefit whatsoever to anybody, including those responsible.

I've heard it is definitely arson, according to the fire report and two names have been forwarded to the police, hopefully those names are correct and there is enough evidence for a conviction.

The parish council have been overwhelmed with support from the community, which goes to show that people are most certainly not all bad, in fact the strength in a community all pulling together in times of need proves that Gnosall really is a lovely place to live.

Fingers crossed for operation clean up in the coming days and weeks, and that all those who have volunteered their services will be able to make the area safe in no time.

It'll will be some time though before the boardwalk can be replace though which is a major blow, but with enough donations and team work, here's hoping for something bigger and better.

This is what I found stashed under the platform earlier this summer. Must of been too heavy to carry after stealing a bike maybe?

Flowers are appearing.

Somebody has hung a bag, in the (fairly forlorn) hope of reducing the amount of bottles and cans being flung in.

There is another bit of fire damage now.

The access 'bridge' doesn't look heavily used and the clamping effect of the screws has reduced to the point where cycling along it is a fairly xylophonic experince - some tuning would improve it...

Would it be possible for two human sized mammals to carry out a romantic assignation UNDER the (Kingsmead) Boardwalk - like in the song by The Drifters?

It will have required quite an amount of what the professionals call "accelerant" - perusal of fuel station CCTVs might suggest potential enquiry directions.
