No, but charity shops (at least Save the Children & Katherine House) have the needles & very possibly some patterns*. Sometimes they have wool, but if not, Poundland does & they are on 3 for 2. *Not always on display-you have to ask.

There were circular knitting needles there last night....

..not sure if there were any other varieties..

..I only noticed them, because I looked to see what they were..

Ha! I did too!

Further down, near the tins, in the bit where they put the 'reduced because they didn't sell when we first had them in' - there are clear square boxes with wool in them (I didn't get too good a look, sorry)- not sure if they are kits containing pattern/wool & needles or if they're just wool - but anyhow they're REDUCED, yay!

If you are in the area, Penkridge market (Wednesday/Saturday) have a knitting stall - wool/needles/patterns & vintage patterns (40p each or 3 for a quid).

I had another look in Lidl just now - there are various types, from £2:99 - £3:99 for four balls.

There appears to be no patterns included, the pictures are just serving suggestions, I think..

On the front of the packet there is a highlighted bit that says '2 patterns included' (on the hat yarn & the jumper (?) yarn).

The husband bought me a Tea Cosy knit kit on my last birthday (slightly weird as we didnt have a tea pot at the time), it took me all of 2 days to find out that I can't remember how to knit properly.
