Just mentioned this to Mrs WMR - we shall give it a go too once it's opened. Anyone know a date yet?
Sounds like they use Brioche buns, seems to be the trend now and they ALWAYS fall apart.
Runny yoke....I can live with....runny egg white...unacceptable[/
Unfortunately, with regards to your dissapointing egg @Floss67 this is a constant problem almost everywhere we eat. Yet it's so bloody simple to get right!!
My wife always says she would happily spend a week visiting these "chefs" and showing them how to cook the perfect egg.
No! A small amount of runny egg white is NOT acceptable. Fools!!
Yes I agree it's very rare to come across a perfectly cooked egg, this egg was runny all the way through the white wasn't white in places just clear goo and the yolk wasn't cooked at all you could see the clear fluid around it, whilst not acceptable they were very busy and I was wondering if they had targets to meet, when queues start building, as I had a discussion earlier with someone on the checkouts at tesco as I commented how rushed I normally felt at sainsburys's at the checkout, who then said they have so long to get a customer through otherwise they are sanctioned, I can't remember exactly what he said but it seemed like a lot of other professions out there where the whip is cracked and if you don't perform quick enough there's no reward !

Was that Mrs WMR replying???I think poaching an egg is even easier than frying. When you poach them the yolk takes even longer to cook, so it's eaiser to have all the white cooked and keep the yolk runny. Fools I tell you. FOOLS!
