I guess because as a business they want to expand and increase the areas the franchise covers, probably to increase profitability. But maybe send them a message if you are curious to why Stafford, they will be able to better advise you.

Oh, I like deserts, it was a humorous (or maybe not) anecdote to the correlation between cake and weight. Maybe I should have added in heart disease and diabetes to the list as well to make it more cake specific.

Just genuinely interested why people get so excited over such things, its like the images that you see posted of the milkshakes with a dirty big doughnut stuck on top of it, I just don't get it.

Maybe its because these things bring people a small moment of joy in an otherwise dull and bleak outlook, maybe its because they like a cake and a catch up with friends, a social occasion if you will. Maybe is the luxury item of choice for some people, their little indulgence.

Maybe its simply science, as these deserts contain processed sugar (also known as sucrose), which causes significant spikes in blood sugar and insulin levels. Processed sugar also increases endorphin's that can boost mood and provide a temporary chemical “high”
