If it's clear where you are, then Venus, Jupiter and the Moon are in close proximity, about thirty degrees up, to the west (and a bit south).

Saw them on our walk back from Sainsburys earlier. I'm always suspicious when the great unwashed offers go shopping with me, there's always an ulterior motive with him. Small fortune later and he's stuffing his face.

The carer said he saw you both...,I'm surprised, he never notices anyone!

From 11:25pm tonight, there should be a good pass of the ISS, if the sky is clear.

It is potentially visible from horizon to horizon and passing as nearly overhead as it will ever be.

We shall see - or not.

Er, the time is the same...

5 minutes and it should start to be visible, from the south west.

Edit, a little high haze here, but still about as good a view as is possible this far north*. If you could see any stars, it should have been plainly visible.

* I'm at the same latitude as the Greyhound at Yarlet.

We were taking a short stroll up the Chase and saw it pass over quite clearly
I could see them waving back at me, I'm sure.

At 17,000mph, they could have been waving at you, 200 miles away, a minute later...

10:35pm tonight may be almost as good.

And 11:25pm on Thursday.

A good pass again just now, although it looked like it might be hazed out - I could only just see one star with averted vision, but the ISS was clearly visible as it cruised over.

Another, possibly better, pass starting a bit after ten past midnight. That one will pass into the shadow over the French coast.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

So, the carers just informed me of what I should have been looking for, as opposed to what I was looking for...

Please bare in mind I have a serious head injury (yes, I'm using this for the next 20 years at least).

So, I was looking for starlink, not iss which I pronounced as Isis (terrorists in the sky with diamonds)....oh my, I'm quite confused.

And yes we saw iss, yesterday & today. 🙄 Still laughing.
