perhaps if nothing else i will win the award for the most unusual request of the day, but serious question, at church we have a young student who wants to get Baptised and outdoors and on Saturday (this means the whole of his body goes underwater)

My serious question is does anyone have any suggestions of somewhere he wont catch something, get swept away or arrested?

I wondered about by the bridge at little haywood at the back of Shugborough but i heard that was closed to the public now...

any suggestions?

If you mean Essex Bridge (Great Haywood) it is a public right of way so is accessible all year.

I ♥ cryptic crosswords
I have swum at the Essex Bridge so make your own mind up on the effects the water can have on the brain

I did once see a mass baptism in a miniature portable paddling/swimming pool on the Moilneux pitch, but only because I was the guest of an American lady, a blonde hottie

I believe there is an aquarium in Birmingham

Enjoying a drop of red.
This is Essex Bridge in Great Haywood, under the railway bridge just beyond the Lockhouse.

Could be wrong, but the bridge I think you mean is this one below on Shugborough Estate itself

Not sure whether this is open still or not. Best bet would be to contact Shugborough and ask them about the possibilities.
