Lunch out with my 7yr old son?

Want to take my little boy (7) out for lunch this week for his Birthday. So looking for somewhere a bit different with amazing milk shakes / ice cream sundaes and sandwiches (hot / cold).

Anyone recommend somewhere based on experience?

I took my daughter in the Bear on Sunday she had a lovely meal of what looke like home made fish fingers and an ice cream milkshake.

Crepes are a brilliant idea tek. What child could possibly not be excited by an entirely pancake-based meal? If I ever have to take a child anywhere (unlikely) I will definitely take them there.

When my son was that age he liked to go to the Pullman train carriage pub/restaurant the other side of Stone, whose name I cant remember so I am probably not being very helpful!

Not sure they do brilliant ice creams but most little boys like the novelty of having lunch on a train.
