Listening (er reading everyone's comments) on music ...

I am travelling to Holland in October (with my hubbie ... albeit he will be kicking and screaming!) to see Michael Buble in Arnhem !

I have to admit it - he's a bit like marmite - you either love him or hate him - personally I think he is fab ! lol :bananafunk:

to be precise..... He's going to "The Netherlands"
As Holland are the two provinces to the west. ( Noord- and Zuid-Holland)
Arnhem is in a nice area of the Netherlands .... enjoy it!

As for the music.... I personally find it a "bridge too far"! :P

Holland is also one third of Lincolshire - Kesteven and Lindsey are the other two parts..

But I bet he's not going there.

yes, sometimes people write stuff in text so that others know what you mean - my mum is Dutch and lives in Huissen - which is why we were the only house in Stafford to have the dutch flags outside during the world cup lol

How many people here would know they were Dutch flags? They seem to have to write 'England' on the English flags...

Well, you deserve it then..

I would have pretended that I thought you were from Luxembourg - until you flaunted the shirt..

I've always felt that the horizontal tricolours do look better than the vertical ones. In our town in Ireland the sporting colours are red, white and green. A couple of years ago the lads won a national title and the town was bedecked in Hungarian flags, with a few Italian ones as well. As luck would have it, a Hungarian lorry arrived at the meat factory that afternoon and the driver asked what is was all in aid of. He was told that it was to honour him as the first Hungarian ever to visit the town. He was only there for a few hours whilst he was loaded up and may never have discovered the truth...
