Mobile Phone Mast proposed next to Walton High School

...because the quoted text from proactive in my post, implied that unless all teenagers stop using mobiles then none of them should be able to complain about a mast being near to the school.

So if 50% of the school have mobiles then they don't get to complain about (claimed) health effects of the mast (which some might consider fair enough) but the other 50% also don't get to complain because their peers use phones....

Perhaps you didn't mean it that way but that's the way it sounded. :)

Funny how everyone objects to mobile masts yet there's satellites beaming their GHz frequencies at us from space. Sky TV, GPS and all sorts.

Schools are full of WIFI too. Radio waves are everywhere.

And let up not forget that there is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE that 'phone masts are harmful in any way.
I dare you to find any. I double dare you, monkey flippers! (sorry got carried away).

Find me one proper scientific study and some hard evidence.

(oh, you also forgot the common household microwave oven, and the fact that due to government legislation we now have houses full of items that if we break them, the chemicals released would warrant a full hazmat team).

The signal at Walton School and the area in general was pathetic when I have been there. That was on o2 (which is generally cack anyway) and I could never get anything but a GPRS data signal around there. A new mast would be beneficial for the area as a whole in my opinion.

I have problems with my EE around that area as well, and is especially bad inside the school where there is no signal at all in some areas. Will probably just start getting signals there when son leaves in a few months.

Might start getting a better signal at home if there is a new mast. I swear blind they reduced the signals getting through out of spite when the proposed mast on Wildwood was objected to. Used to get a good one for years before that!

My signal on EE is crap nowadays, used to be good but now I can't get anything inside my own house!

Enjoying a drop of red.
My signal on Three is variable around town but crap at home unless it's used upstairs at the back!

I wish they'd put up a new mast near me!!

In the meantime I guess I'll have to keep diverting my mobile calls to my Skype number so I can keep using the phone at home.

I now have to stand by my front bedroom window to get any signal in the house. Even started losing that on an important call yesterday so had the window open and hanging out of it.

Maybe my British Gas smart meter will work if a new mast is erected in the area . Not worked since all the hassle of them installing it ,as they reckon their Vodafone signal can't reach it.
