I’m glad its just not me, couple of weeks ago, turning left when lights turned green but the traffic opposite started turning right from st Georges at the same time, I had to stop to let it through as no one was stopping and wait until the lights changed again, very strange!

Did a shop on Friday ad filled my two bags for a fair bit less than it would be to fill them elsewhere. Regarding the layout, it could be an OCD sufferer's nightmare. Odd number of aisles meaning the up down up down up leaves you at the back rather than the till! .....................or is it just me?

All Aldi's have an odd number. I have yet to figure out a system to arrive at the till.

I think its an effect of the stores being so compact in comparison to their larger competitors. In most "full size" supermarkets you rarely (in my case anyway) go up and down all the isles.

In Aldis there are occasions where we don't go down the frozen/alcohol isle (I know shocking) which is usually at the end of the store, but the new layout buggers that up !!

Lidl's an odd number of aisles whereas the Co-Ops on Bodmin Avenue and Baswich Lane are both an even number.

Larger stores like Tescos and ASDA, it isn't an issue as there'll usually be a few aisles you'll miss out anyway (the pets aisle and the babies aisle in my case).

Toy fairs in the Prestwich Centre are another conundrum as, because it's usually quite busy, you have to tackle each side of the aisle separately.
