I thought it was a very appropriate funeral this morning, and extremely well attended as expected.

I wanted to attend yesterday but I couldn't get the time off work.

Glad it went as well as it could but still sad news.

Currently in the Grey Horse in Portland Street Manchester which is one of the smallest pubs in the UK.

A couple of tourist corporate Man United fans came in and one turned his nose up at the tiny boozer so I asked them if they'd tried the beer garden.

In this case the "beer garden" is a small pebbled back yard en route to the outside bogs.

The whole pub cheered when they sheepishly came back into the pub.

Serves them right for being snobby if you ask me!!!*

It's big compared to the Circus Tavern a couple of doors away.

Yes, that wasn't open when I was last in Cleethorpes nearly forty years ago and I used the No 2 Refreshment Room.
I should be in Lincolnshire later this month to meet friends over from America, but possibly only Lincoln.
