Made friends with a few of them already :) Haven't quite mastered the sexy wriggly hips like the instructor though 😂

So, I've just been in the golf club here, for the very first time in my life - and come home with more money than I set out with.

We attended a quiz in aid of their wildlife activities and, after a poor start, ended up third out of fifteen teams, despite being a man short at the last moment.

Do you have proof they said there was no leak on your side after the first fix? If so may be able to argue they caused it if close to the meter.

Not that it matters, let the insurance deal with it, God knows we pay enough for it then never use it!

No he just said that as he handed the card saying repair been done and problem solved.

Stroppy Severn Trent woman in billing (usually heen pleasant but I got a right @rsy one on last call) reckoned they don't get the details through from the leakage department for at least 3 weeks, so they dont know whats going on as no notes on their screen yet....but then issue a legal action threat straight away?????

Really, forget about the legal action threat. It's just to frighten those that can't be arsed to fix a leak when it really is on their own property. Whatever the outcome, you aren't going to face legal action.

Besides how many manhole covers do you see bubbling up with water for weeks and months before STWA bother you get round and sorting it. In a court of law, that will count.

Well, looks like yet another neighbour will be hating us ( the 1st one being the one a few houses away who's air b n b guest parked overnight right on our lawn in August , squashing a small bush on the way . She came had a right go at me for daring to tell her guest not to park on my garden :o).

Water bloke is here now and has to dig across neighbours lawn where our pipework goes under from the pavement and they ain't happy. Nothing we can do about it though, it's got to be done. :hmm: (He'll probably re-instate it to look better anyway , as they park on their lawn and it's all churned up already)

Not looking good....hole in neighbours garden is getting deeper and wider and he can't locate the pipe yet. To make things worse their leak is filling the holes, he's turned their water off as well, and water still piling in from the street direction.😭

Glad we've got a gas fire and a door to close the lounge off. Bloody freezing with the front door open for the electric cable and the central heating turned off as the water's off.

Well leave it to them, it's what LV are paying them for. Try not to worry (that's what you pay LV to do on your behalf), it will sort in due course

Still haven't located the water pipe , it obviously isn't going straight the way it should. Said they'd stay as long as they can & might have to board it over and come back another day. Driven up from Caerphilly (Strange co-incidence that's where the last lot of ST workers had come from)

Having to dig around the neighbours tree routes.....I can see that coming crashing down next! Watch this space ...😂

But again, all covered by insurance. Try not to worry.
