Today I got my fat backside back on a pushbike. I'm still wheezing like I have asthma. We went up the Isabel line as far as the Graveyard, not far, but it has been ages, for me. Dread to think how my legs will ache in the morning. Won't be winning any races that's for sure!
But it's a start, like Great Unwashed said, you don't laugh at those having a go, regardless of their size. Because they are at least trying.

Small edit: Some wag on FB,who shall remain nameless (@Stoofer34@ ) Suggested Strava. He/she/it has been politely told where to go.
Well done @Glam :)

Thank you. Won't be doing much till after Christmas, but I've decided sign up for Aquarobics. It'll help my knee if nowt else x
Brilliant! I've got dodgy knees from my road racing days, but can really go for it in the water as no impact (except for the tonights session where it's a fast aerobics in the water using weights , and I keep clonking my knees when I don't get my legs up high enough to swing the weights under . Kept wondering where the bruises were coming from 😂 ) and the weight is coming off fast with the water resistance. Ive been doing several diffferent aqua classes a week and love it!

As well as the aqua classes , and several zumba classes each week , I've started Sh'bam and hip hop dancing classes in the leisure centre as well these past 5 weeks. Son is horrified when I show him my (not so sexy looking as the instructors , my body rolls look more like a little old lady getting on a bus. Supposed to be imagining ducking under a plank of wood, my body just doesn't do that very elegantly 😂 ) moves I've learnt in Sh'bam 🤣

Now lost 3st 2lb now since February , and enjoying the exercise whilst still enjoying my ciders .:D

Go for it @Glam , you'll really enjoy aqua aerobics !

Ask Santa 🎅 for a cheapo pair of pool shoes ;) to make it easier to grip the floor.
I'd never heard of them before my aqua zumba instructor advised I got mine from Lidl for a fiver last summer .I tried them on the store & ended up buying 2 sizes smaller than normal. But need them snug .
Lots don't wear them , but as well as giving grip it protects against verruca & other nasties lurking on the walk to the pool.

Saw a big furry fox again by my car in the leisure centre. Said hello to it and it ran off..

Well , I know I've always been a short @rse at 5'2" . But checking my blood test results on line from the other day , noticed on my records they have me down as 'Standing Height 15.4 cms ' .😂
I wouldn't worry about it. It's not as if any medical treatment you may need requires any form of accuracy, double checking or competence.

Oh...

My fox has been back quite a few times....I'd not seen one for years, but now wonder if they've been coming all this time. We only fitted the garden camera in the summer...so they could have visited for years without me knowing as he/she comes between 1am & 4.30am

Oh...
Weeping Cross surgery had hubby's records as attending the baby clinic once during lockdown. Unless there's something he isn't telling me, someone is missing that visit on their records..

A complicated, but successful, evening. I was roped into a quiz at a pub across from the second nearest acceptable pub. This fitted in with dellivering a repaired stove fan and leaving my coat, etc., in the acceptable pub, having locked my bike to their milk churn, then attending the quiz, which we somehow managed to win, resulting in €100 between the four of us. I then departed across the road, to see if the stove fan was still running, which it was. I was also then able to book my Covid jab for Monday afternoon, which will stop the woman next-door from getting more text reminders for me.

A successful night, and early morning...

At Lichfield race course for sons fast car driving experience. ..

Good job I braved the most basic portaloo ever ( before spotting some lesser basic looking portaloos around the corner..)

Wasn't expecting to be asked if me & hubby would like to pay a tenner each for a fast passenger drive with a professional afterwards 🤪 decided to go for it.

Been warned by son not to scream 🤣

Sitting on a bench, overlooking the lake at the NEC, mid stroll between between the Genting Hotel and the halls. The thought of another eight hours breathing in the stale air of the place still being a bit much at this time of the morning, thought p jr and I would have a pause in the sunshine, breathing in what passes for fresh air in these parts first. It's actually rather pleasant, if somewhat chilly.

This is day two and probably the day I will end up in real trouble with the current Mrs p for buying something else she doesn't consider I need...

Only one more day of it after this...
