So glad I moved down here with all the good zumba friends I've met ( and son close by). So many genuine offers of help & lifts, a coffee etc .
( A meal was suggested , but I can't hold a knife & fork properly at mo 😂 )

Zumba instructor even walked the path I fell on today to look for hazards causing my fall , and nearly fell herself around the same spot!

Hoping for a happy outcome now..
Son just messaged me on his run. He's spotted the recently rehomed cat thats been missing for a month whilst he was out running, (thinks it's living in a small tunnel/ burrow he saw but it ran off .)
Rang the rescue and they are sending someone out with trapping equipment. Would he so good if it's a happy reunion 🙏
Glad I told son to watch out for it now , and he went for his run at the right time to spot the cat.
Yay....After 21 days missing , with son reporting it yesterday the cat has now been caught and reunited ... just read on Nextdoor site...

But will he want to repeat his 'adventure' ?

Sounds like he and Mrs T may have been separated at birth.
Surely there can't be anyone to match..

Tried doing a lot myself , but needed help mopping as found not physically possible with arm/hand set up , so asked for help as filthy and done for 4 days.....

Who the hell mops with a damp dried up mop from 4 days ago , no mop bucket , water or cleaning solution. ????
Swirling it around about 2 sq foot in the utility room only and that's it 😫

Was seriously ready to book into a hotel !

(And quite funny just watching ' Classic Coronation Street ' we,'d recorded.

Maria says ' He can't cook , can't iron , I don't think I can take any more!". I'm not alone then 😂)

Surely he's doing it on purpose so not to be asked again....

I blame the management.

Saw hospital hand/ arm specialist today , a friend kindly offered to accompany me .( and was a godsend, carrying stuff, finding the way around the maze between depts, and picking up on things said that I missed In my panic.)

The good news....I don't need operation on right hand , finger splinted for 8 weeks should work as joint is OK, just the bone broken & torn right back so repositioned into place to heal:barf:

Alternative is operation , which would make it look prettier, but limited movement so he advised against....Phew, I didn't want an op!

Failed to convince him my suspected fractured elbow/ arm was painless and just a bruise (my mate said I was a good actor though....I fooled her 😂 ). Got to go back next week for further xrays when hopefully the inside bleeding has reduced to show clearer images. So still in sling, but allowed to gently move it bit more, as long as ''NO lifting!"

BUT
He thought I may have broken my left black & swollen wrist as well , so added that to todays xrays.... but it stayed out of plaster.
No obvious breaks/ fractures but just showed all wrist & hand joints badly affected with arthritis.

So we had a nice walk back to the community centre in the winter sunshine to have a cuppa & biscuit with the walking group when their walk ended . Nice to have a chat & laugh with a few friends.

Then friend & her hubby insisted walking me back home to my door , to make sure I didn't fall again on the icy pavements. 😁

Don't know how people cope with those long nails!
I keep knocking everything with this long splint.

Now I know how dogs with vets plastic lampshades things on their head feel bashing into things 😂

Mr sexy zumba man insisted I got on the group photo when I called in to see them all after class. (Added bonus a careful hug off him 😉 :heyhey: 😂 ).

A good advert for his classes with my arm in a sling , hand in a splint , and black wrist 🤣

Just got a copy of yesterdays consultants letter to GP. Turns out I didn't fool him after all with my "It isn't hurting now, just bruised " , as I tried not to wince during all the pulling and prodding to avoid plaster . Still suspects hidden fractures . Just hoping next tuesdays different consultant agrees with his ' I think we can probably manage all of this conservatively ' after next tues xrays :hmm:

I think I've still got one of Bee's "lampshades" somewhere if you need to borrow one.

Promise I won't throw any treats into it to drive you bonkers trying to reach them 😂

Bee eventually worked that all she needed to do was lower her head and the treat fell out.

I have 2 from Ollie here as well, different sizes too, so am sure we could have this covered!

Only just saw about your fall, @staffordjas, wishing you a speedy recovery! It’s almost a year since I broke my shoulder blade, I know how awful it is and how it can get you down. But as soon as the recovery period is over it will feel like it was nothing, the human body is quite incredible with its healing abilities.

Thanks @SketchyMagpie .
Just so frustrating that I was enjoying all my zumba, Sh'bam,& aqua classes , gym, swimming & walking . Lost 3 stone doing it , but now can't even do simple tasks at home (or drive). Weight is starting to creep back on already with no exercise, more scoffing & extra ' apple juuce' 🤪 medication to kill the pain.

Even more frustrating hubby used to me doing everything for him , is acting hard done to and me asking for help with simple tasks is causing arguments .

Almost knocked myself out earlier . Bent down struggling to put/kick things into kitchen cupboards. Stood back up and WHACK! Hadn't seen him come in and open cupboard above , left it open & went back out. Felt so sick & dizzy!
Cider painkiller needed help to open can.... face pulled again.

Roll on 8 weeks time!

Glad you healed well @SketchyMagpie
