Going to have to go to bed with my newly discovered Spotify on my phone playing music on mute.
Can't work out how to turn the bloody thing off 🤣
Is it Android? If so you should have a triangle, a circle and a square at the bottom of the screen… click the square and it will show all your open apps, just find Spotify and swipe up and off the screen to close it.

Or the old stand by of switch the phone off then turn it back on again.

I live very close to a tree surgeon, a neighbour has engaged the services of a different tree surgeon that isn't that neighbour tree surgeon. I have this mental image of the neighbour tree surgeon stood at the edge of his drive muttering expletives*.

*He wouldn't of course, I am reading more into it than I need to

In other news I am not getting much done today as I am watching a tree surgeon

Are they called surgeons because the tree is alive?

Went to hospital for elbow xray and consultant appt that last weeks consultant wanted doing today . Finger had already been re-xrayed last week.

Todays consultant was bloody useless , had to find last weeks consultant letter to GP to find out why I was actually there as he hadn't read notes (wouldn't believe me ).

Just felt elbow and wrist , said if I thought it was improving then that's ok....

So sent me off to xray dept for a finger xray instead . Kept pushing for an operation later today on the finger when he saw me again after xray. I told him last weeks bloke advised against it, saying splint was better option with movement in it afterwards. He agreed that was correct , but still kept trying to get me to have an op later today.

(He must be on commision , he was sending loads for ops ! )

He had to search on bits of paper on his board to see how long a finger splint needs to be on. Then told me just to take off after 6 weeks. No check to see of ok or not. But refering me for hand therapy , whatever that is...

Off to see the plaster room lads again for a tighter splint to be put on as he said that one was too loose now swelling gone down. Asked consultant if I can drive yet.....no! Can I drive when finger splint off. ..Yes

So absolutely no confidence in him at all. I'm just carrying on the advice given by last weeks consultant who I trust a bit more.

I changed 2 elements in my ovens today. I have 2 ovens and what of it, the second oven is basically storage for pans, but I digresse. I found that my culinary triumphs were taking longer than expected and so bought elements to replace them in both. Its a once in a lifetime thing I think, if you are replacing elements in ovens multiple times, then time to splash out. Oven 1, back plate is held in place by a single screw, still torx head so its an existing screw, looks like the previous owners might have changed the element in the past and thought sod it, one screw is enough. 2nd oven, back plate is held in place by its own will and the element is left dangling. Nice, that will explain the smoke alarm going off the one time it was used.
Enough to say I made them all good. Every day is a school day in this house.

I have only found one item of damage from the events of last night. I failed to bring in a max-min thermometer and it got blown down onto a concrete floor. It survived the impact intact, but the shock had knocked some of the mercury past the recording pins.

I managed to get one of the pins sorted without dismantling it, but the other was more stubborn, so it has been apart and all is well now.

This also gave me the opportunity to remove the debris that had accumulated inside the case, after 20+ years outside.

Had a lovely full day with friends, including Costa coffee in morning. Popping in before class for chat with zumba group. Then a trip out to a garden centre in Droitwich this afternoon.

Guess who ended up BEHIND the cheese counter 🤣 . My mates fault leading the way !
Only realised when we got told off by the shop worker who had vacated her post. Still can't stop giggling about it now 😁

Had my diabetic eye screening test last week and luckily I turned left out of the lift for retina eye testing and not right for the Jap's eye testing 😂

Not too sure about the qualifications of the dental staff either 😂

During the Covid lockdown, we had a few of the Nurses from the GUM (Clap) clinic working at St.Georges. The tales we were told! I got offered a job there, sometimes wish I'd applied for it.
