Enjoying a drop of red.
Morning out in Newport Pagnell today. Always a treat. Traffic was light on the way so had a full English at my favourite greasy spoon.
The way home though was awful. Heavy traffic and arseholes hogging the middle lane so I couldn't keep pace with the traffic without undertaking. Driving with a trailer in this country really is a miserable experience on the motorway.

I had thought that 1968 was the only year since WWII when British armed services were not fighting somewhere on the face of the planet, but I may be wrong, the references I can find say it was the only year in that period when no British servicemen were killed. The oft quoted figure is that there are only six years since 1823 when British forces weren't fighting somewhere.
Back to the daffodils, ain't got any in flower at the moment, but do have snowdrops & primroses.

When I bought a packet of 'Dreamies' for neighbours cat for his christmas pressie, I also bought a packet to keep here for when he pops in to visit .
Found one on the floor last night just as the phone rang, so put it on the side......it's gone..... waiting for hubby to start miaowing now

The other day I found some turkey in the frozen section of Aldi and bought it along with loads of veg.
So this morning I put the turkey in the oven, prepared home made roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, sprouts, carrots, gravy, etc.
Husband said “it feels like Christmas”
But on Christmas morning when all this prep is going on we open some fizz, so that’s what we did, we opened the fizz.
And now husband has gone for a siesta and I’m wondering where my Christmas presents are.

Clearly the turkey was an interruption of the space time continuum. It has the power to move you through time. I've noticed over the course of a lifetime that birds have the power to do this. (Don't mind me, I've been downing a bottle of spiced rum today because of the strange yellow ball thing that has re-appeared in the sky after a night of bloody super hooley winds. )

Plumber hasn’t been back, not heard from dodgy workman since we told him we would be contacting the police after discovering he had stolen credit card details. Lost £4000 to him and spent £1500 to plumber only to be left with no bathroom, no heating, no carpets and a few leaks.
Tonight, after many hours of work, lots of YouTube clips and a few swearing outbursts, husband has now got some heating to the upstairs.

Had a visit from my nice next door neighbour to inform me that , after over 20 years living there , she is selling up and moving to live closer to her daughter.

Same here but given my neighbours I'd also invite you all to a garden party on the front so we could eat, drink, sing and give them the 2/single finger wave as they left.
