Sitting in the showground carpark , overlooking the fields. Gone rather dark looking above at the moment , yet drove here in blinding sunshine.

So seeing as I’m stuck with my Type 1 for a bit longer... what was the issue?
Well he never turned up on Saturday afternoon, which is when the appointment was made for. To say I was displeased doesn't get anywhere near it...

An engineer arrived late morning today, poked about a bit and reckoned it was the circuit board. He didn't have one on his van and thought it would take a week or so to get hold of.

He must have thought the look on my face was quite murderous because after a quick chat with HQ, the decision was taken to swap it out immediately with a spare 22kw he had on the van.

Normality is restored, although ironically I'm running around in a V8 desiesel for the next day or two.

Made my way out of Stafford (for the first time in a year) down to the NMA, nice to stretch my legs for a bit.

Not carrying around a board sounds about right, all these OLEV grant eligible manufacturers are right clowns. It’s about £200 worth of hardware and a couple of hours of a spark’s time to install and they charge £1k for it because £750 of that is coughed up by the government.

The Tesla one is actually the cheapest without a grant just because they aren’t taking the piss on it.

Pancake day, I'm trying to convince the carer to make me pancakes... Not having much luck.
Simply explain that he gets to choose the reason that you'll be calling him a tosser all evening.

It's warm here and the flies are buzzing.

Well my little jaunt out to Newport Pagnell felt like a realise from it all. Jr came with me as it was a two person job and to have one of the lad from work come with me would have required going down in separate vehicles due to Covid compliance.

Who'd have thought a run up and down the M6/M1 to NP pulling a big heavy trailer, could be seen as a treat, just twelve months ago?

Went for an eye test this morning, resulting in need new lenses for main glasses and computer glasses. During the test the lenses on the test frames kept misting up due to the face mask !!
'Dont worry about it,' said the optician. 'Happens to everybody.'
Couldn't help but think there might be a lot of patients bumping into things before long because their prescribed lenses didn't account for the misting. :P

Mowed the lawn today. Also did some chopping down of tree and bushes stuff. Got a full trailer load to take to the tip first thing in the morning now.

If it was essential journey I would come and get the tree from you - we're always on the look out for our wood store...

I'm holding on to all the decent stuff for ours. It's weedy branches and twigs that I will be bidding farewell to as well as a stack of other stuff that's been in the trailer since last year waiting for a full load to make the trip worthwhile.
