Just spent 3 hours trying to get the internet working . After contacting TalkTalk the first time , sent a text saying no problems found and a link to their website to request help if still having problems , but couldn't even get onto the link via my phone .....

very happy after me getting him out of bed , who tried to help going through all my laptop settings with me, but still no joy.
Phone would eventually send Whattsapps after they had tested it . But wouldn't connect to websites saying DNS probs.
Laptop wouldn't connect to internet at all , diagnostics saying couldn't connect to the DNS server and to contact network supplier.
Back to TalkTalk ........ very helpful lady (I think ... called Noah) ... discovered there were problems connecting to their DNS server afterall.
After lots of disturbing the spiders behind the cabinet yet again to stick paperclips into holes , working again for now but seems problem is we haven't got latest software in modem. Tried updating it their end and didn't work.
So..
If I disappear folks , I may be waiting for the new modem they say they will have to send out if any more problems.
