Hurting a lot apparently. Just back from fracture clinic where they've 'had another look' at it.

When Minime broke hers a couple of years ago they couldn't plaster it or anything, she just had a wrist brace.

Hope she's feeling better soon.... Lots of home cooking and bottles of wine in order I think!

Daughter was there on monday. She fell off her bike and has a small fracture to her elbow. Nice purple cast for her!

Asked the husband what he thought and was told I look like a drug dealers wife....

I think the carer/husband has been to @That-Crazy-Rat-Lady 's husbands school of compliments.....


Today when he got home he announced that the parcel that was delivered today was a 'special' treat for me! I opened it all excitedly thinking it was the perfume I'd been going on about last week....


... No, its a touchless soap dispenser for the kitchen!!!! How is THAT a present for me? It's for the house! We have rules about things like that..... I may have to call in @BobClay 's cartel hit men....

A friend of ours once bought his wife an arc welding kit for her birthday, she was over the moon with it.

Just spent 3 hours trying to get the internet working . After contacting TalkTalk the first time , sent a text saying no problems found and a link to their website to request help if still having problems , but couldn't even get onto the link via my phone .....

Rang son, who sounded very happy after me getting him out of bed , who tried to help going through all my laptop settings with me, but still no joy.

Phone would eventually send Whattsapps after they had tested it . But wouldn't connect to websites saying DNS probs.
Laptop wouldn't connect to internet at all , diagnostics saying couldn't connect to the DNS server and to contact network supplier.

Back to TalkTalk ........ very helpful lady (I think ... called Noah) ... discovered there were problems connecting to their DNS server afterall.
After lots of disturbing the spiders behind the cabinet yet again to stick paperclips into holes , working again for now but seems problem is we haven't got latest software in modem. Tried updating it their end and didn't work.

So..

If I disappear folks , I may be waiting for the new modem they say they will have to send out if any more problems.

I've sort of unhooked myself !!! I pedalled into Bude to Screwfix this morning to get a couple of shelf brackets. I want to put one of these UV bug zappers in my porch. The recycling bags are in there, and although I always make a point of washing out cans, bottles and other plastic containers, because I leave the porch door open on a hook, there are flies buzzing around in there. When I got back I fitted the brackets, then sawed out a piece of wood for the shelf and started the varnishing process. Then looking at the weather forecast I decided to mow the lawns. All this I completed by 1500 hours (3pm.)
The Sun was blasting down (not bad for a September date near the Equinox) and when I'd stowed away all the gear and the mower and what not, I decided I was entitled to a G & T ... (and then another.) (Might as of typing this, have another .... )

Now I'm a bit f*****. (Not that that's anything new.)
