Today I will mostly be banging my head against a brick wall whilst waiting for mortgage companies to pull their finger out.

Today I am trying to stop myself from getting 2 new rats, they are adorable and I have already given them names, Bertie and Pip, they want to come home with me!!

NO! I MUST NOT GET ANYMORE RATS!

The office dog barked at two police officers visiting us today. I couldn't resist the line "He's a police dog, he only bites policemen"
Sadly the old ones are not always the best.

My parents left this country eighteen years ago. Today, they got a letter about £125's worth of Council Tax on their old house. They are unable to decipher whether they are supposed to owe it, or it is owed to them. Lincoln Council finally answered the phone after forty minutes* and then refused to discuss it with me. I told them to write a proper letter, in plain English and containing the facts.

When I take over, there won't be enough lampposts to hang all these people from.

*They spent the forty minutes continually informing me that 'Monday is a busy day and you might like to ring on another day' - like a Tuesday, perhaps.?

Well Glam I hope your happy! I'm holding you personally responsible for my new tow babies ratties!

(I need someone to blame when the other half gets home: 'A lady on Stafford forum told me to do it!')

Thankyou they're awesome....... pictures to follow!

Do they eat other rats? as in dog eat dog ( vets put-downs to rendering factories )

I've heard stories of when a rat dies its cage mates eat can them (as maybe they would do in the wild)

But fortunately have never had anything of the sort with my lot!

There to concerned about food to be competitive.....

What do they eat? ( rat diet not a specialist subject of mine )

Well apart from anything.....

I feed them a homemade mix of different grains, oats, cereals, dried fruits, pets at home rat nuggets and then every time I make a new mix I throw something exciting in like shreddies or popcorn.
Along with fresh fruit and vege and anything left over from tea time as well as sometimes chicken or cat food (for special occasions)

It sounds expensive but they cost me nest to nothing!

The only thing I've found they don't like is bagels!

I can talk about rats all day so don't tempt me! :)

64 dollar question - what is in cat food? I have had a theory since a holiday in Devon that cat food is dead donkeys

They'll eat the insulation off the wiring in your Shackleton - http://www.staffordforum.com/xf/ind...-go-on-it-might-be-funny.58/page-46#post-3342 - if you happen to have one.
