We've got one of those, they're great

I am hoping it goes together OK, on line reviews said instructions were not great. Not as I use them usually but It's nice to have a fall back position Although I do have the picture on the box.

Does the battery need changing on a smoke detector ?

I've checked mine and it's ok, although I guess it's possible a neighbour's needs checking and I can hear through the various open windows

Has anyone near to you got a pre-pay electricity meter? They make an annoying on off sound when running low in credit?

Ahh, now that is a thought - my place used to have one fitted many years ago (so the electrician who changed my lights tells me) so I guess it's possible some nearby still have

Also, if you have one (and you should if you have gas) check your carbon monoxide detector.

Definitely good advice - I'm all electric so no gas, but I always made sure I had one in my old place

IF I was daft enough get married again, I'd love be ferried to wherever the ceremony is by a Mk 1 Granada or Mk 3 Cortina. It's all a question of taste, and Rolls Royces, Jags or Bentleys just don't do it for me I'm afraid.
