Not been around for a while, so lots of mundaneness to catch up on!

Been rallying (as spectator)
Been karting (as driver)
Been to wedding (as best man)
Been to more weddings (as photographer)
Been stuck in Stafford traffic for the last 4 weeks and only just got home (as angry annoyed road user)

Just had to spend £16 I didn't really have spare to taxi to and from Spawn3's school. To retrieve the one item I especially stressed they must not allow her to leave behind. Her Dora doll that she cannot sleep without. It's the only part of the stuff she went to residential with that I was at all bothered about coming home. Even the 20p in her purse (which they made sure she had with her) could have bloody stayed there. All we needed was Dora.
This not allowing extra bags on the school bus has a lot to answer for :grr:Stupid rule!

Is this mundane or not? Is it in the wrong bit? Apologies if it is.
It's a question from my sister.
She has 2 fantail doves (pigeons if you ask me) One appears to have hurt its wing. Does anyone know owt about these birds please? They've only had them a week, kept them in the coop for a couple of days, and now 1 can't fly.
I should say, it could fly when it came out the coop 2 days ago, it seems to have hurt its wing today.

I used to keep doves. First of all if they've only had them for a week, they need to keep them in for at least another 6 or 7 weeks before letting them out, otherwise they won't know it is "home". Also, make sure they're hungry the first time they go free or you'll end up with my problem where they spent several days on neighbours roof tops before coming in.

Regarding the wing... you can wrap masking tape around the wing and body to aid healing. Some pigeon keepers (yes, they are the same family) just place them in a breeding box or smaller enclosure to prevent them from trying to fly with it that way.
