don't mention the blinds
After 5 year of very heavy usuage my washing machine is being replaced.
Iv had the repair man out because it sounds like a jet plane. I thought it would just be the bearings, but there is sooo mush more wrong ! Repair man is surprised it still works . Washer only cost me £199 and it's never had any problems , never even been serviced, runs around 3-4 times a day and has even spent the winter connected up in freezing shed. I can't complain

I was recently advised by a trading standards inspector with regard to washing machines. "Either buy a Miele or get cheapest in the showroom".....

The best advice ever though was " When at family or friends, as soon as you've cut your 1st sausage..... Flush ! ".....

Enjoying a drop of red.

Wouldn't it be quicker to download the handbook and put it through Google translate?

Besides, if it's a Merc, all you really need to know is how to flash your headlights at plebs in front of you on the motorway, and an appropriate range of hand signals to indicate the road is yours. Just observe other Merc and Audi drivers and you'll soon pick it up.

Technical stuff, like how the indicators work, need not concern you...

Oooops.....in the dog house. Tidied the computer up during the week, deleting loads of unwanted stuff. Hubby just found that one of his ' much needed' documents has disappeared :blah:

Merc drivers are probably the least worst of the drivers of German cars, to be fair - in my experience.

Audi
BMW
VW
(Ford)
Seat
Porche
(Vauxhall)
MINI
Skoda
Bentley
Mercedes

It's a long time since I saw a Wartburg, Heinkel, Messerschmitt, NSU or Borgward on the road here, and I've never encountered a (moving) Trabant.

Vans are not included in the above results.

Your chances of recovering it will depend on whether the same area of hard disk has been overwritten since....
First though, theres a thing called "previous versions" built into Windows. Right click the folder it was in, left click on Properties then click on the "Previous Versions" tab at the top. If there are any restore points with this feature enabled then it will offer you the chance to open a window of that folder on a choice of dates. If the file is there, simply copy it back to an active folder again.
If you dont have restore points, you could try the Recuva program from piriform.com

Thanks, will try that if anything reeeeeeeeeally important is discovered to be missing. :D . Just hubbies figures so far , that me being me had already written down with good old pen and paper with all the other important stuff in my book....Just had to spend ages making a new program and typing them all back in again .
( I ran the 'cleaner' after I had emptied the recycle bin as well. Fun starts when his football links have vanished into thin air, all on their own of course ;))

Very like The Floodgate, ex shop unit in a shopping precinct with a great 'homemade' feel about the place.
