My TV broke about 2 weeks ago , there was no picture just black. No life in it what so ever .So today I finally got round to removing it from the wall to chuck in bin.
In a last attempt to double check that it was in fact broke I did a quick search on google and found some site saying to unplug the tv and hold the power button for 30 seconds then plug back in and switch it on. I generally thought this was bollox , it was on some US site and was about some other tv, but tried it anyway .....IT WORKED!who knew
I spoke too soon The picture has gone all strange colours. Green is now fushia and red it's green , white is green etc very strange . Perfect picture though except from the colours !☺️
Looks like I will be removing in from the wall again! For good this time

Just rang the council to find out when my replacement green bin (for the one that disappeared within minutes of being emptied last monday !) is due to arrive. Looks like I'm going binless for another week yet ..."anytime up until next monday" :(

I now have a lounge carpet covered in white rice....

Son is staying with friends down in Worcester while he's inbetween changing houses, so I drove back yesterday with a car loaded with his stuff. Just opened the big heavy suitcase full of saucepans and crockery etc ( and luckily was going to wash it all again for him anyway, so that it starts off spotless in his new house).
He'd only gone and put a big tub of rice in there as well , which had burst open . The lid pockets catapulted the stuff everywhere when I flung it open

Pretend you're at a wedding. Get sloshed and start a fight.

OOOPS...I forgot all about our 35th wedding anniversary being today :embarrass:.

Me and Mr Apricot both completely forgot our last wedding anniversary. About two weeks later we were watching a comedy programme in which one of the characters forgot his wedding anniversary and was in deep trouble. We both turned to each other and said 'Ohhhhh...' It's only 18 years as well.

I tend to remember the anniversary of the night we met more than the actual wedding date.
