If you have any elderly/vulnerable friends or relatives, please keep an eye on them.
My 2nd cime busting episode today consisted of an older lady receiving a phone call asking her to buy £1000 worth of Gift Cards. She complied with everything they told her, including refusing to talk about the phone conversation to me.
The worrying thing is that 'they' booked & paid for a taxi to bring the lady to Sainsburys, and back home, where she would be told which safe place to leave them in.
Luckily I'm suspicious of EVERYONE, and managed to find out more info & involve the police.
She was a lovely lady, & truly believed she was doing the right thing, was adamant that she was going to buy the gift cards, they had told her she could get them from Sainsburys or the Post Office. She didn't want the police or family involved.
Please make any relatives aware that this is happening in Stafford. Very scary all round.
Well done

My parents were done out of £10,000 by clever fraudsters.
They must have been on the suckers/ gullible list....
After me repeatedly telling them to bin all the ' You have won the Spanish lottery...we need your bank details and money up front for carriage / admin charges to be able to pay you' . Parents insisted it must be legit , even though they' d never entered the so called lottery.....
Unknowingly to me , they had a phone call , supposedly from Lloyds Bank , saying their bank details had been compromised.
Stupidly gave their details, passwords for verification that they were in speaking to the account holder...
Then people posing as cops turn up at their door ,saying they are the fraud squad and need parents card .
Idiot parents handed card over, along with any paperwork....... £10,000 dissappeared that day , never to be seen again! Unfortunately when the fraud squad went to investigate , my parents wouldn't take action to recover the money as they thought it was ' dodgy,'
