Must have been the herd we saw a few weeks ago , by the quarry on Chase Rd. Counted at least 80 , and more probably passed before we spotted them.Had a wander up Oldacre Valley and back along the old railway line parallel with Chase Road tonight. Counted well over 100 Fallow deer. Must have been gathering for a rave and not a sign of social distancing.
I am quite lovely, aren't I?!Had a natter in passing this morning with the lovely @Glam
I wanted to be a lorry or bus driver. But married young, then the babies came along, and we never had the money for me to learn. I didn't pass my driving test till I was 28.Had a natter in passing this morning with the lovely @Glam, & a similar conversation at work around the same time..
What did you want to to when you left school? I wanted to be a nurse, but 1 year of training on a Psycho-geriatric ward then a dermatology ward changed my vary nieve mind!
When I renew my phone contract , going to go for a phone with a better camera to capture moments like that.
I learnt to drive when I was thirty and that was only in case I needed it for work which I did for jobs of a year from 2006 to 2007 and ten years from 2007 to 2017.I am quite lovely, aren't I?!

Bit late now.
I wanted to be a merchant seaman or a Redcoat at Butlins. I ended up doing the latter but always wanted to work on ships. A coincidence was an old redcoat friend of mine ended up on ships.Had a natter in passing this morning with the lovely @Glam, & a similar conversation at work around the same time..

You used to read books about librarians? When I was a kid I used to want to be a nurse, librarian , police officer ..whatever book I was reading at the time.
That was in my primary school years , the school library was stocked with books making all the jobs look so appealling and everyone working in them super heroes...You used to read books about librarians?
Rocknroll...

The only reason I learnt to drive, was because the ex f-i-l fell and broke his right arm while walking up the Peaks. It had been a particularly hot summer and Lady Bower had dropped to such a level that you could see the old village. The old biatch of a m-i-l couldn't drive, so they struggled back from Derbyshire, him holding the wheel with just his left arm, and her doing the gears when he said so.I learnt to drive when I was thirty and that was only in case I needed it for work which I did for jobs of a year from 2006 to 2007 and ten years from 2007 to 2017.
.....Yet five years down the line I now work as a civil servant for the Scottish government (I don't want to say exactly what online but it's to do with trees!!)
