Hey,
Noticed on my way into work this morning that Music Matters on the Wolverhampton road has shut its doors.

Although expensive it was a good little shop and leaves another unit empty.

I walk past this shop fairly regularly and I don't think I can ever remember seeing a customer in there!

It seems as though a lot of their business is internet based.

I was just thinking exactly the same thing. @Admin can we have the thread amended to stop the slightly sensational click-bait aspects to this. If we can't have a mega thread can we at least have the titles of shops opening / closing in the thread title

Noticed last week but thought it was old news, as said never seen a customer so hard to say when its open or closed.

I always do this (had to do it with the Lowndes Fruit one the other day), but if I miss one by all means let me know as you have done here.

As you say, it would be nice if people could just include the shop / business name in the thread title!

As @Wormella says, megathreads are not allowed due to their tendency to stifle ongoing discussion and cause information / news stories to be missed. See here for details.

I used to go into Musical Approach when they were in Woodings yard off Bailey st, unfortunately the shop closed years ago. Several years after the shop shut an amp I had bought from them developed a fault and I rang the old number, on the off chance, and was surprised to speak to the owner. He came to the house to have a look at the faulty amp and said it probably needed a new part and he did not have an official repair contact after closing the shop but would ask a friend who had been in the business and see if he would do it as a favour. He took it away and delivered it back about a fortnight later, fully repaired, and re installed it. Great service and I think I paid about £70.
The company is still going, as far as I know, and now specialises in Home theatre kit.
The amp is still working. :)

That's a shame. They really were excellent. When I bought my Bowers and Wilkins speakers they set up half a dozen sets for me and humored me for a good two hours before I made my decision. That must have been ten years ago now, and I'm still using the Bowers speakers. And they still sound bloody great!
