My name is Carole and I like pop music.

There. I've come out and said it.

Yes, I know it's not big or clever or cool but I do love a catchy tune and I couldn't give a tinkers toss which era it's from.

So ....rubs hands with glee..... last night Mr and Mrs Carole went to Brumidgham to see Girls Aloud.

Mr has a fancy for Cheryl and Kimberley so he got 2 for the price of 5.

I got as an "added bonus" 6 fit male dancers who sometimes took their top off.

As Miranda's mother would say ......."SUCH FUN"

I saw them in Sandon Road once

Yes my lovely one.

You did.

In your head,

OR on a poster, or in a direct line from your imagination to your brain to your groin to reality and all back again until you woke up.

A bit like my other half.

Bless,
men ..............dontcha just love em?

I am just a sucker with a guy and an apology.

No John, I didnt buy a programme.

We had a pizza £4.99. Glass of champagne £7 .....(their size glass............. not mine....about 2 inches in a plastic glass)

Actually , it was just wonderful. The show not just the champagne.

Sometimes, you can just buy a memory.

And anyway,

when they all came out at the end they looked lovely in their red frocks.

i think it comes with age.. i remember, when i were a nipper, i used to watch the ITV chart show on saturday mornings in secret, wearing my megadeth t-shirt, pretending to pour scorn on 2 Unlimited, The Prodigy, etc. when all the while i was cursing myself because i knew deep down that i LOVED IT :xd:

now i'm older and uglier, i couldn't give a stuff about what the other kids think of me - i'll happily admit that my (digital) record collection has sugababes, justin timberlake, and similar chart guff alongside radiohead, smashing pumpkins, the cure, skrillex, and god knows what else!

in fact, i'm pretty sure i started a thread on a similar subject...

edit: ah yes, here we go - Britney Spears (and other shameful confessions)

Your staccato posting style is catching on, Mr Marwood.

Well sometimes things are not always as they seem.

Last night I got into a paddy over something someone said and this morning half the replies have been deleted by admin, but it now looks like I am just talking to myself.

Which I never do of course.

Oh do glad it's not just me.

I do like all the pop stuff like Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, etc.

But we are also off to see Alfie Boe in a few weeks so there is hope for me yet.

I drove to work yesterday listening to The Fureys & Davey Arthur, picked up 1 of the nurses along the way, wtf are you listening to, she asked. Told her. never heard of them says she. My prized possession is David Essexs All The Fun of The Fair album. I also have every record the late Kirsty Maccoll made. Not popular for some, but then again, neither am I.

Nothing wrong with Kirsty MacColl.
